What does community investment look like in action?

In 2025, it meant cleaner streets, safer neighborhoods, support for our businesses, and opportunities for neighbors to connect.

Community safety remained a major focus through the growth of the Connected Dutchtown Initiative. The Community Camera Network expanded to 84 security cameras across 50 locations, helping network members get answers when they need it most while strengthening partnerships between residents, businesses, and law enforcement.

The district also launched innovative programs like the Merchant Smart Badge Pilot, expanded volunteer safety efforts, and hosted the 4th Annual Safer Dutchtown Summit, bringing together residents and justice system leaders to strengthen community partnerships.

The CID celebrated Dutchtown's economic vitality by supporting local businesses and creating memorable neighborhood experiences. The Dutchtown Bells Holiday Light Show attracted visitors from across the region, while storefront decorating contests and public space improvements helped create a vibrant, welcoming business district throughout the year.

Supplemental trash and litter services removed more than 55,000 gallons of trash while keeping commercial corridors clean and welcoming. Infrastructure improvements enhanced public spaces, supported local parks, and helped merchants create more inviting storefronts.

2025's projects reflect the collective efforts of residents, volunteers, businesses, nonprofit partners, and public agencies who share a common goal: building a cleaner, safer, and more connected Dutchtown.
